Local file processing
XML files selected or pasted into the converter are read by code running in your browser. XML parsing, previews, mapping recipes, and CSV or Excel generation happen on your device. XMLSlice does not intentionally transmit the contents or names of those files to an application server.
Depending on browser support and output format, generated data may be written directly to a destination you choose, placed temporarily in browser-managed private storage, or held in memory long enough to create a download. Browser-managed temporary data is controlled by your browser and device.
Website delivery and analytics
Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and may process ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, security signals, and timing data. XMLSlice also records a small, fixed set of product events such as file selected, analysis completed, and CSV or Excel export completed.
Product events contain only the event name and public page path. They do not include XML or CSV content, file names, file sizes, a user identifier, or a generated tracking identifier. These aggregate measurements help identify where the public workflow needs improvement.
The installed offline app caches only public application files such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, the manifest, and icon. Selected XML and generated output are not added to the service worker cache.
Data you choose to send
If you contact XMLSlice by email, the message, address, and information you include are processed so we can reply. Do not attach confidential XML files unless support specifically requests a safe, redacted example.
